The Donna and Marvin Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts
At the heart of musical activity at Emory University is the world-class Donna and Marvin Schwartz Center for Performing Arts. Completed in 2003, the center houses the 800-seat Emerson Concert Hall, Tharp Rehearsal Hall, box office, chamber music rooms, practice rooms, classrooms and student lounges. The center also incorporates a black box theater laboratory and a dance studio.

The 2005-2006 Season celebrated the inauguration of the $1.6 million concert organ built by Daniel Jaeckel, the latest addition to the concert hall.

Burlington Road Building
Additional space for the Music Department is located in the Burlington Road Building, 1804 North Decatur Road, Atlanta 30322. This building houses the Music Department Office suite, faculty offices, two organ practice rooms, twelve piano practice rooms, two chamber music rehearsal rooms, a harpsichord practice room, teaching studios, the piano lab, and three classrooms.

Adjacent to the Burlington Road Building is the Performing Arts Studio. This rehearsal and performance hall has a seating capacity of 220 and houses a Steinway grand piano.

Other Performance Spaces
There are three other performance spaces across the campus as well as the extensive resources of the Marian K. Heilbrun Music and Media Library. Other Emory University buildings used by the Music Department are the Glenn Memorial Auditorium, Goodrich C. White Hall, and William Cannon Chapel.
